We are strategically located in Royse City, Texas on the border of Hunt, Rockwall, and Collin counties. With the exception of law school and college, I have lived and worked in Hunt and Rockwall counties my entire life. We represent clients in Greenville, Rockwall, Royse City, Caddo Mills, Lone Oak, Heath, McClendon Chisholm, Fate, and all surrounding areas.
Andrew grew up in Greenville, Texas, graduating from Greenville High School in 1992. He lettered in football and basketball and was student body president his senior year. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, earning an Economics degree in 1996. While at Texas, he was active in the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and the Texas Cowboys Spirit and Service organization. After graduation, Andrew became an Algebra teacher and football coach at Rockwall High School. In 2004, he left teaching to attend law school at Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law, where he graduated cum laude in 2007.
Andrew married Jamie in 2004 who is also a Greenville native and graduate of Texas A&M University with a Master's degree from Texas Woman's University. They have 2 children who are both active in sports and keep them busy. His family enjoys travelling, sports, and the outdoors.
Andrew began his law practice with SettlePou in Dallas, where he began his career defending mortgage companies during the sub-prime housing crisis of 2008. While at SettlePou, Andrew’s practice focused on commercial litigation, real estate litigation, and property tax litigation.
In 2009, Andrew returned to Hunt County joining the law firm of Scott Money Ray Thomas, PLLC. While at Scott Money Ray Thomas, Andrew’s practice expanded to include estate planning, guardianship, probate, real estate services, local government representation, and prosecution of the Greenville Municipal Court.
In 2012, Andrew joined the Consumer Financial Services Practice Group of Akerman LLP, a Florida-based firm annually ranked in the top 100 national firms, making partner in 2016. While at Akerman, Andrew’s practice continued to focus on litigation, but expanded to include statutory, regulatory, and licensing counsel for multinational financial institutions.

With his strong ties to Rockwall and Hunt Counties, Andrew left Akerman in 2020 to start the Law Office of Andrew D. Thomas. His practice focuses on real estate, litigation, and estate planning. He is licensed in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, and he can handle any kind of litigation. Having first-chaired bench and jury trials, Andrew takes a pragmatic, focused approach to get the results clients want.
As a real estate attorney, Andrew can assist you with every aspect of contracting, developing, purchasing, leasing, or selling real property. As a fee attorney for Kincy Abstract & Sabine Title Company of Greenville, Texas, Andrew can close real estate and lending transactions on property located in Hunt, Collin, and Rockwall Counties. Andrew also has significant experience in estate planning, probate, and guardianship.
Andrew resides in Rockwall County with his wife Jamie and their children, Caroline and Jake. He is active in the community attending LakePointe Church, coaching youth football and basketball, and participating in several service organizations.
